What is the main rubber composition of rubber conveyor belts?

The rubber materials used for various parts of ordinary conveyor belts include cover rubber, buffer rubber, skim rubber, and cloth layer sticking rubber.

1. Cover rubber

It is subject to material impact, abrasion, microbial erosion, and various aging effects during use. Therefore, the covering rubber is required to have good tensile strength (≥18Mpa), wear resistance (abrasion ≤0.8cm3/1.61Km), aging resistance and bioerosion resistance. In addition, it also requires good process performance such as viscosity. 2. Buffer rubber

The rubber material is required to have good adhesion (adhesion between rubber and cloth ≥3.15N/mm), large elasticity, low heat generation, good heat dissipation, and good process performance.

3. Skim rubber

The main function of the rubber is to stick the cored canvas layer into a whole. It is required to have good adhesion performance to the core material (the adhesion strength between the cloth and the cloth is not less than 4.5N/mm), fatigue resistance (the number of flexing times of the cloth layer ≥ 25,000 times / full peeling), and sufficient Process performance such as plasticity (plasticity 0.5~0.6) and scorch resistance.

4. Raw rubber

Raw rubber is mainly natural rubber, and 20-30 parts by mass of styrene butadiene rubber is used, and the rubber content is about 50%. The vulcanization system is the same as the general sulfur and accelerator system. The accelerator is generally used in combination with M and DM, or a small amount of TMTD is added to speed up the vulcanization speed, but attention should be paid to prevent the rubber from scorching. Carbon black should be semi-reinforced carbon black or other soft carbon black, and the amount is about 10 parts by mass. The rubbing rubber mixed with styrene butadiene rubber should increase the amount of coumarone resin and petroleum resin appropriately, otherwise it will reduce the adhesion of the cloth layer.
